Arca worked with Bronze to turn her piece Riquiqui into a dynamic, ever-transforming representation of itself.
Entirely conceived in high-end Computer-Generated Imagery (CGI), The Owl in Daylight, 2020, is a new work in motion by Nicolas Becker and Philippe Parreno. In constant evolution, the work is composed of visual sequences and sounds, re-imagined and juxtaposed in real-time by Bronze.
Irish artist John Gerrard collaborated with British-Canadian electronic musician Richie Hawtin to create the digital artwork infin-1-iridescent-stream. The artwork features a shifting serpent making the “infinity” symbol and takes a full year to watch. As the seasons change the visuals and music change as well, this is facilitated by Bronze which constantly regenerates Hawtin’s composition.
The piece showed at 3537 in Paris as part of a 3-month exhibition cycle.
Bronze provided the immersive and ever-changing soundtrack for “ΨZone” by Finnish artist Tuomas A. Laitinen, a piece commissioned for Helsinki Biennaal.
Lex is a recording engineer who through his career has worked with artists such as Timbaland, Pharrell Williams, Radiohead, Kanye West, Mura Masa, Bjork, Arcade Fire and more. Prior to his professional career in music, he studied at the Conservatoire in Birmingham, building a system for nuanced gestural control of real-time audio in 2004.
Mick Grierson is Research Leader, UAL Creative Computing Institute and one of the foremost experts globally on the use of AI in the arts. His research explores new approaches to the creation of sound through signal processing, machine learning and information retrieval techniques. His research has been used by the BBC, Channel 4, Massive Attack and many others.
Gwilym is a songwriter and composer. He has released three albums as a soloist including, in 2012, the first piece ever created using Bronze. Bronze was conceptualised as part of Gwils artistic vision, his lead from a creative perspective is critical in getting other artists to enjoy and create in Bronze.
Juanpe is a software engineer with a focus on interactive systems, consulting in the fields of music, film, 3D and robotics. He was a software architect at Ableton where he worked for 5 years. He regularly speaks at conferences as an advocate for modern C++ , functional programing and to present his acclaimed open-source work. He leads software development at Bronze.
Hamish Harris is a leading music artist manager. In 2014 he partnered with highly regarded September Management, who are one of the UK’s leading management companies representing some of the world’s biggest recording artists and producers. Hamish is responsible for how the brand develops, interactions and collaborations with the music and creative industries.
Denzil Thomas is a renowned branded music specialist in advertising, devising award-winning strategy and activation for over 150 campaigns. He was a Grammy nominated recording artist before becoming head of Biz Dev at the Mama Group and IPC Music (the NME). In 2003 he set up his own music strategy business authoring the strategy behind O2 Priority among others. Denzil is responsible for the day to day running of Bronze.
The ambition of Bronze is to enable as many artists as possible to access performative technology by bringing our products to market. We expect our first product to be launched in 2023.
